The guy who made the Save Jark petition was banned, apparently in the last forty-eight hours.

Rumor has it he was banned for spamming, but his activity tracker says he had perfectly normal activity on the fora.  Troublesome, that.

t52.org has several extremely important images up.  Watch it, though -- the page might take a bit to load for dialup users.

bookdiva has an extremely important journal entry here.  It's the best repository for any and all information coming in pertaining to the situation.

$jark got demoted, and an outcry's starting up.  Spread the word.

I can't claim to know $jark, or how he operated -- I do know that if he was in charge of electing new staffers, he was in need of a few lessons in judging character -- but something smells about the entire situation.

I'm not crying "conspiracy against $jark!", but something's wrong here.

And the admins start to weigh in.  "How about you nor anyone else in this thread knows what had lead to this?"

Way to go for not stirring the pot, I suppose.

Oh, and one VERY IMPORTANT THING I forgot -- this one's for you, $spyed!

I hereby terminate the DeviantArt Submission Agreement, in regards to the rights to any and all of my artwork.

Heads up, yo.  Take heed of the type of crap lurking in the fandom.  At least click the links she's provided.

Yay DA admins

www.deviantart.com/view/179619… was taken directly off of page thirty-two of Burne Hogarth's book "Dynamic Figure Drawing."  It got a Daily Deviation, and dozens of rightfully unhappy campers bitched at the artist for posting it.

While it's perfectly understandable that admins can't be omnipotent (even though dA's admins would like us to think that), the wisest response would not be to give the art thief another Daily Deviation, especially as the artist doesn't draw anything you won't find in a low-budget, self-published American comic book, and especially when the picture chosen for a kiss-and-make-up Daily Deviation is lousy anime-fusion with a halfassed background and no sense of balance, weight or proportion.

Wiser still would be to simply apologize, or perhaps not mention the event at all, instead of getting defensive and snotty by saying "Oops! I recently posted a deviation that was a copy from a book. Sorry to add to the flood of deviations that reference photographs or other images found throughout popular culture" and "If it's a copy, send me rude notes!" in the new Daily Deviation description.

Guess how wise the people "watching out for us" are.
